Kristen Clarke, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, spoke with students in Ramsay High School’s Academy of Law today. Mrs. Clarke spoke about her experiences in the law and her role with the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, which upholds laws protecting American citizens from discrimination.
Prim F. Escalona, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama, also addressed the students about her experiences in the law.
Prior to meeting with the students, Mrs. Clarke and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson delivered remarks at the commemorative services for the 60th anniversary of the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing.
