Six eighth graders from W.J. Christian K-8 School competing in the Junior Division of the UAB Central Alabama Regional Science and Engineering Fair (CARSEF) took home Honorable Mention awards today.
In the Energy and Transportation, four students walked away with medals. Myla Morris and Taraji Thornton won as a team for "A Dash of Colored Energy."
Jackson Harton earned his medal for his project, "Sound Materials," with Joshua Henry (not pictured) honored for his entry, titled "Sunshine."
In the Mathematics in the Mathematics and Computer Science category, Meanwhile, Madison Berry Carlisle and Chloe Burney earned their award for "Can You Show Your Feelings?"
The students were also winners at the BCS District STEM Fair, held in January. Click here for a full list of winners from that competition.
