Wenonah High School’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program celebrates a major achievement following an impressive showing at the JAGCA South District Competition held today in Montgomery..
Four students earned top placements in their respective categories:
Dana Scott – 1st Place in Career Preparation
Lamar Richardson – 2nd Place in Employability Skills
Sean Ash – 1st Place in Prepared Speaking
Lillie Mielke – 3rd Place in Financial Literacy
These students will now advance to the state competitive events on February 25, where they will compete to qualify for the national competition.
“This is only our second year with JAG at Wenonah, and these students have already set a high standard of excellence,” said Dr. Dana Wright Marshall, JAG Specialist. “Their dedication and success demonstrate the impact of this program, and I have no doubt they will continue to achieve great things.”
The JAG program, which has been in the Birmingham City School District, focuses on equipping students with essential career skills, leadership development, and workforce readiness.
